Dolphins swimming in the wild in Madeira Whale Heritage Area

Join the movement to protect wildlife!

Wildlife Heritage Areas (WHAs) offer a vision for the future of wildlife tourism. A future where wild animals are not confined or exploited by the global tourism industry. With your support, we can grow this one-of-a-kind program and encourage more people to experience wildlife ethically, in natural habitats.

The WHAs program, co-founded by World Animal Protection and World Cetacean Alliance, is in the early stage of growth. Your support will have incredible impact, enabling us to expand the program to include more animal species, in more regions of the world. And your support will allow us to promote responsible tourism to travelers, helping them choose the ethical alternative to zoos, elephant rides, swimming with dolphins and other captive animal attractions.

Your support will ensure big cats, elephants, whales, bears, primates and many other species live as they should: in the wild. Not in exploitative tourist attractions.
