Raising the Murmur to a Shout

Steve Geliot, a local artist and Starling expert, frequently engages with the community through talks at venues like The Bevy Community Pub, the Hanover Action Community Group, and the Friends of Preston Park. He also offers deep-dive presentations on the Science of Starling Murmurations at Brighton Palace Pier, blending complex ecology with accessible storytelling. These sessions inspire local action; for instance, they directly led to the installation of six "Save Our Starlings" nesting boxes in the trees of Preston Park.

Beyond community talks, Steve has expanded his advocacy through media and art projects. He has appeared on the Get Birding podcast, serves as the Nature Correspondent for Latest TV with Starling related articles, and was a commissioned artist for the RSPB Pulborough Brooks Wild Art Trail.
